Why ParkDaj

The app is designed to optimize the use of existing local parking capacity. Every shared and used free spot means one more free spot in the neighborhood — one neighbor uses the spot directly, but everyone else benefits too: fewer illegally parked vehicles and less time spent circling in search of parking (which also means lower local exhaust emissions).

Registering a garage and parking spots

A garage is registered by one of the residents or a professional building manager, acting as the administrator. Multiple administrators can be added — for example, when a garage is shared by several entrances with different managers. Each garage has its own unique code that other residents use to join during registration, after which the administrator assigns them their parking spot.

Usage

Using the app is simple: whenever you leave your parking spot — for a few hours, a weekend, or a vacation — you can mark it as available for that interval, and neighbors can book it for the whole interval or any part of it, for themselves or their guests. Likewise, when you need a spot, you can send a request to your neighbors with a date and time interval.

Data privacy

The garage administrator can see your user name, email address, unit number, and parking spot number, while all other garage members see only your user name and spot number.
